Learning a lot

Growing up in Western Pennsylvania, I was sadly ignorant of the history east of the mountains.  Doing research, I have come in contact with quite a few characters that need to be more famous, Conrad Weiser, among them.  I had heard of the Ephrata Cloister, but knew little more.  There is a lot more to Colonial America then was/is covered in the books.  I learn more of the Tulpehocken Valley.  Of Mordecai Lincoln.  Of Shikellamy.

Closing Hunt

Down near Pope's Creek.  The sun came out later, but a muddy raw day nonetheless.  A season comes to an end.

The Huntsman and his charges

The hounds, excited and leaping for joy, follow the huntsman out into the marsh and meadow.  The game is afoot.

Book Images for Conestoga

Playing with some wonderful photographs in Adobe, adding different effects to achieve a painted effect.  These will be in the second book of The Ranger series, Conestoga.
